ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/INVENTORY CLERK – Will perform a variety of duties pertaining to the operation of the Dyersburg Housing Authority’s low-income housing program including occupancy, eligibility and inventory control. Will be responsible for the preparation of confidential and technical documents in accordance with HUD regulations, and will serve as a substitute in the absence of office staff.
Must possess strong accounting, computer, and organizational skills. Must have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work as a team as well as independently. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License and be an insurable driver. Background check includes a physical and drug screen.
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC – Will perform a variety of duties in the maintenance of its buildings and grounds. Must have experience in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment, and be able to identify problem areas.
Candidate must be able to work with hand tools, construction, lawn and power equipment, and serve in the rotation for on-call after hours emergencies. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years experience related to construction, maintenance, repairs, painting, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License and be an insurable driver. Background check includes a physical and drug screen.
MAINTENANCE AIDE GROUNDSKEEPER – Will perform a variety of duties in the maintenance of its buildings and grounds. Duties include but are not limited to maintenance of the exterior buildings and grounds, landscaping, picking up and disposing of trash, furniture and debris.
Candidate must be able to work with hand tools, lawn and power equipment. Must be able to lift and move heavy objects. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with one (1) year experience related to groundskeeping and exterior maintenance of buildings, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License and be an insurable driver. Background check includes a physical and drug screen.
