MOWING SERVICES – REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Dyersburg Housing Authority is soliciting proposals for mowing and grounds care services for properties owned by the Authority. Separate bids will be received and evaluated for the following
AMP 1: Projects TN021-001, 002, 005, 010, 011, and 015, located in Dyersburg, Halls, and Friendship, Tennessee
AMP 2: Projects TN021-003, 004, 006, 007, 008, 009, and 012, located in Ridgely, Newbern, Trimble, Kenton, and Troy, Tennessee
Sealed bids will be submitted to the attention of Beverly Murley, Executive Director, and will be received until the bid date, time, and location given below:
Bid Date: Thursday, January 23, 2025 Bid Time: 10:00 a.m., CST
Location: Dyersburg Housing Authority, 541 Hike Avenue, Dyersburg, Tennessee, 38024. Bids will thereafter be publicly opened and read aloud.
PRE-BID MEETING: There will be a pre-bid meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Dyersburg Housing Authority, 541 Hike Avenue, Dyersburg, Tennessee. All firms and individuals submitting bids must attend the pre-bid meeting to be familiar with the boundaries of the properties, and the requirements of the contract. Site visits will follow the pre-bid meeting.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. Proposals may be withdrawn at any time prior to the submission deadline.
WINTER FREEZE INSTRUCTIONS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR APARTMENT
WATER PIPES – KITCHEN AND BATHROOM
- Open cabinet doors under sinks.
- Turn cold water faucets on to drip. (DRIP ONLY)
HEAT
- Do not set heat below 60 degrees. Heat must be on to prevent freezing pipes.
- Keep exterior doors and windows closed completely.
- Keep interior doors open to all rooms.
COMMODE
- Do NOT put anything in the commode that will not flush including baby wipes, paper towels, female sanitary items, toys, food or grease.
- If a stop up occurs during the freeze, DHA staff will not be able to unclog the outside drain to fix your commode.
ELECTRICITY
- In case of a power outage, you must contact the Utility District that services your apartment.
